Trip Overview

The 7-day Lhasa EBC overland tour is the perfect way to learn about Tibet and Nepal and capture a lifetime memory of the world’s tallest peak, Mount Everest (8848m). This overland tour from Tibet to Nepal or Lhasa to Kathmandu will allow you to experience the varied cultures, traditions, landscapes, and ways of life in two distinct regions.

From the historic capital of Lhasa in Tibet to the famous Everest Base Camp, this immersive expedition takes you on a captivating journey across the untamed landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau. The tour starts with an exploration of the capital city of Tibet, Lhasa, for 2 days, during which you will visit the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Market. Also, you will be visiting Dadong village and Sera Monastery. Then you will drive to Shigatse, but before, you will visit the beautiful Yamdrok Lake and Pelkhor Chorten & Khumbum Stupa in Gyantse. Visiting the Tashilunpho Monastery, we will head to Shegar for stay. On last day of Tibet, we will drive to Rongbuk, visit the Rongbuk Monastery, witness the Everest Base Camp, and return to the Tibet-Nepal border, Kyirong. From Kyirong we will drive to Kathmandu.

This 7-day Lhasa EBC overland tour saves you a day by the returning route from EBC to the Gyirong Border, in contrast to the traditional 8-day Lhasa Everest Base Camp itinerary where you need to head back to Lhasa from EBC. This lets you completely immerse yourself in Tibet’s beautiful beauty and cultural richness while saving time and making the experience more pleasant and effective. The closer you are to the Nepal-Tibet border, the more you will be welcomed by the breathtaking view of the mountains and the arid landscapes. When you reach Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, you will witness the stupas and historic temples.

As one of the top tour operators and well-known in Tibet, Bhutan, and Nepal, we are dedicated to providing you with a culturally authentic and exclusively crafted tour.
